Recitals

Hensrud's recital work takes her around the United States, Europe, and one of her favorite places to perform: the East End wine country of Long Island, NY.

Her vast Chamber Music repertoire allows for interesting recitals with String Quartet or other instruments. Recitals can be combined with master classes and lectures.

Ms. Hensrudʼs passion for women composers led her to found “Feminine Musique”, a vocal Duo dedicated to showcasing the music of women composers. Since its inception in 2008, Feminine Musique has been in demand performing lecture recital presentations in professional concert series, Universities and High Schools, art galleries, exhibitions and museums throughout the United States and at the International Conference on Arts and Humanities in Hawaii, Representing Gender in the Performing Arts Conference in The Netherlands, at the Women and the 19th Century Lied Conference in Maynooth, Ireland, the Athena Festival for Women Composers, in Kentucky, at The European Salon: 19th Century Salon Music Conference in Ireland, where they premiered newly discovered duets of Josephine Lang and Maria Malibran, and most recently at the Inaugural Women in Music Festival at the Mississippi University for Women. As a recipient of the 2015 New York Women Composer’s Grant, Feminine Musique presented a program of contemporary women composers at the 2015 Hartford Women Composers Festival. In 2016 they presented the world premiere of Music Like a Curve of Gold, by Juliana Hall.
